Thanks. Going to watch your palm pre vid now
I was dirty juz like that. My girlfriend helped me in the shower to get clean though
Thanks for the review. No double tap to zoom on the browser is pretty dissappointing. Its a shame Sprint is quiet on 1.6 to 2.0 upgrade details. Thats going to be the key on deciding to get this phone or going with another phone.
Android devices don’t natively support and double tap like the Pre / Iphone 3GS. Both the Pre and the Android devices are based on Linux. I’m happy to report that the Pre supports the MPEG4 codec x264 for good movie compression and quality. The screen is beautiful on the Pre comparable, if not better than the Iphone 3GS. The Pre is a fast device. I noticed that some media isn’t reporting that the Palm Pre APP Market recently starting having paid apps and now momentum is building.
I opted for the Pre. This item has only Android 1.5. If it is upgradable, then why didn’t Sprint Upgrade it to Android 1.6. The Pre and the Iphone 3GS both have the Cortex A8 processor that is supposed to be the fastest. The 800 mhz in the Moment, I am not sure if it is faster since it’s a different architecture. Also, not to mention the Touch Sensitivity on the Pre is perfect. I’ve heard with the touch sensitivity on some of the Android devices that you have to press harder, not that good.
is this better than the hero or the pre… i’m still thinking of the pre
This is exactly what I was wondering as well! I’m planning to upgrade my phone soon, but I wasn’t sure to get the Hero or the Moment. Does Google Sky work on the Moment even without the compass? Also, how’s the video capture quality on the Moment compared to the Hero?
hero ftw
spruce hill dr eh?
Is there any kind of LED notification light on the Moment. A lack of one would be pretty disappointing IMO.
Thanks.
this phone with such a fast processor is a waste. neeeds polishing.
The reviewer must have a weakling.
weren’t you in the wrong settings part for the camera? it looked like you were under the general settings tab rather than the camera settings tab?
With the features Samsung put into this phone, you would think they would have added what appear to be some of the basics for Android. I have become highly disappointed in this device, and it seems I will be waiting until 2010 to get an android phone.
yea ur right, but man i wish the hero had the same pro. speed
i thought the moment would better than the hero but based on reviews, the hero is still better.
nice videos. can the samsung moment receive text messages both sms and mms while on wifi? currently the hero does not and am thinking about trading it in, when the moment comes out.
MobileBurn - Since this is a Google Exp. Phone when it does get 2.0 Eclair software, it will obviously take care of the boring software issue. Theoretically, if the phone eventually got 2.0 would you then recommend it over the hero? Does the absence of a digital compass hinder the phone as well?
VERY GOOD
They’re both dealing with pre-production review models, so there are gonna be inconsistencies in the individual devices. This is just speculation though.
Because I use the videos in text reviews and other places, too, and multiple shorter videos are easier to manage for those purposes. Also, it allows me to get a video up even when the other parts are unfinished.
I imagine there is one for those few apps that rotate without the use of the keyboard. For example, the Moto CLIQ I am using to post this reply has one in the browser. Likely the Moment does as well.
I had no such problems at all.
Does this phone have a missed call LED?
Did you find the screen unresponsive at all? CNET posted a review video and the reviewer stated that he had to press harder than he would like and that the capacitive buttons under the screen didn’t always register well. In your videos I don’t see any of these issues? What’s the truth of the matter?
